I don't understand, though; he kept writing as if there was someone to blame. To blame for what? What is the implied mess for which someone must be blamed? Just don't fire Romar if you want to keep all those players. On the one hand he seems to be appealing to some kind of higher ethic, i.e. don't make decisions based solely on winning but on the other hand he approves of and advocates for firing Romar because, you know, he didn't win enough.
