He laments a series of events as blame worthy - Pingeton for hiring Porter Sr, Romar of hiring Porter Sr, Hale for hiring Roy, the high school players for winning a state championship at Hale, the Porter children for wanting to play for their dad, their dad for DARING to think he could coach having never won a state championship in Western Washington.
He doesn't state his premis but it seems to go something this: it's wrong to want to win unless you want to win for the right reasons.
What are those right reasons? We don't know. Why is it wrong? We don't know.
But we do know that the US AD "had" to fire Romar because he, well, um, didn't win.
