He's been coaching D1 for the last 6 or so years. How do you become qualified? You do the thing that gives you experience. So he's clearly qualified to be an assistant at the college level: played at this level, coached at this level, developed players at this level, coached again at this level.
Stop this nonsense about Porter Sr not being qualified.

YES! This does NOT disqualify him. Basic logic.
It does make his hiring even more of a no-brainer.
