working and living there, why do states fight over companies?

If you want smaller government and economic growth, don't you want state govts to be forced to be competitive with each other and with "states" in Mexico and elsewhere by needing to manage their budgets, work on lower revenue, keep more of that $$ in the private sector?

I don't see how you can be for smaller govt and be upset that companies have less tax burden.

are you making the case for higher corporate taxes to ensure state budgets can remain high?
