538's assertion that the polls were already moving towards Trump even before the FBI announcement.

Either way the newer polls should take precedence over older ones.

AND, the evidence is clear that the polls since the FBI announcement have shown a marked movement towards Trump.

Whether that would have happened with or without the FBI announcement is once again irrelevant as to whether the newer polls should take precedence over older ones.
