Building with 3 stars and the occasional 4 star player is

probably the only way this program can be successful under any coach.
But top 150 3-star players aren't the same as unranked 200+ 3-star players. Go back and look through our unranked our 3-star players and see how many turned out to be above average players (Bowers, Lawrence, and maybe Puryear) and how many were below average, transferred out, or were role players. Now compare that with the top 150 3 star players and how good they were. Guys like English, Denmon, Dixon, Demarre, Tiller, or Lyons far out-number the 3-star top 150 guys that were below average. It's just the law of averages. Your odds of being successful with top 150 3-star players is much higher than doing it with 150+ 3 star players.
We aren't recruiting at the same level we were recruiting at under Mike Anderson. And the big difference is that Mike was able to keep those top 150 3-star players for 4 years which Kim hasn't been able to do.
