I've seen him coach at MU for 2 seasons

It isn't difficult to determine at this point if he can be competent at this level. I didn't see him coach in D2, so I can't knowledgeably opine on his coaching there. In this case I do have alot of direct observation at my disposal since he has been MU's head coach, and its rather obvious. He is clearly not going to be successful at this level.
