I think he talked his way into the NBA when all of us knew he had no business being in the league (it took the Pistons 41 games to realize what we all knew). The guy may have worked on his jump shot tirelessly in the gym and I give him credit for that, but every other part of his game was fairly flawed and honestly undisciplined. He had a solid senior season and I think a lot of that was him being forced to play the 4 where his weaknesses (lack of lateral quickness defensively and offensively, sloppy handles, inability to make plays going against other guards, poor decision making against pressure, minus athleticism for a guard, etc.) were not as apparent.
We will see whether Kim English makes it as a coach, but I see him as more of a talker than anything else.
