Two questions --

First, I thought that Big 12 conference championships were, and still are, 'meaningless'? At least the 16 regular season and 10 post-season tournament titles we've claimed since 1997 are, are they not? And that when you're 'Big 12 Champions' and don't win the national title during that same season, the bigger a 'failure' and 'underachievement' it is for your program? Correct? So color me as confused. Why (especially since you did not win the national title in any of those "2 years", or come close to doing so) do you and other members of your fan base tout these as engendering merit and pride, like you do here? Can you explain that?

And, again, as a point of historical reference, who were the 'Big 12 Champions' for men's basketball in 1999?
