The only real path to retention is either A) MU continues to de-emphasize the sport and doesn't care about competing or B) that we are hit with enough APR penalties, have enough defections, and incur more NCAA penalties that simply make attracting a suitable candidate impossible.

The only outcome that results in retention is MU becoming worse, there is no level of play possible that would legitimately justify retention.
