I don't know what Ford has done to improve the relationship between SLU and the Eagles in such a short amount of time or whether it is primarily them trying to help their guy Tate succeed (which is what I have heard). I just know that the rumor around town is that they are pushing Tilmon hard to commit to SLU and did so with Goodwin (although Goodwin needed less of a push since he was always interested in SLU). Maybe it is just having a SLU guy, Corey Frazier, leading the top team and wanting his buddy Tate to succeed at his alma mater. I just know the thought was always the Eagles were hands off, but now they are suddenly recruiting for SLU so to say at least with regards to Tilmon.

I am not sure why essentially those same relationships didn't help Tate when he was at Mizzou beyond his replacement being a SLU guy or whether Ford cracked the code.
