This is not some guy on the internet messing with you. Biblical scholars all agree there is no scriptural basis for the trinity. It is not there. Furthermore it is widely agreed that the invention of the trinity was an attempt to appease both the pagan aka polytheism and christian aka monotheism by the romans. That is not speculation but historical fact.
I am not trying to convince you that your beliefs are wrong, I don't believe in either. I am merely trying to show you that the beliefs you hold so dear and think to be beyond reproach are every bit if not more preposterous than the BYU beliefs that you are so quick to label cult like and unchristian. The irony is that you picked the one tenant of mainstream Christianity that has its origin undeniably in pagan polytheism.
The tragedy is you are too blind or ignorant to understand that.
I should not be surprised that a board that features openly racist posters like MUI would also feature comically obtuse religious bigots such as yourself.
