just because they are kind of locked in geographically since it probably isn't possible to pull a SEC or ACC team away. The next best look is to go to kU. I am not saying this to puff out my chest but they really ****ed up not offering a full share to us. I sincerely think they thought the SEC wouldn't ask or that we wouldn't take it if they did ask.
Truth is that if the conferences ever go to 16 teams then kU to the big 10 is probably a sure thing and it won't end up being too bad for the big10 because the NCAA will probably cease to exist with 4 confs of 16.
If the NCAA ceases to exist then BB becomes a lot more lucrative as all the tourny money goes to the conferences instead of funding the NCAA. Right now FB drives the bus but in the not too distant future I can see BB being close to FB's equal. I think the SEC can see that too and that is why they are putting an emphasis on getting their schools to field great bb teams. Excluding our retarded situation almost all of the schools have made big name hires and have been dumping money into their BB programs the last couple years. The SEC offices are setting guidelines on scheduling and are constantly talking about ways to improve the conference.
As much as I hate to say it kU will be fine if it ends at 4 confs of 16.
