Exactly. You also don't seem to understand the comcept of %. We seem to understand much better than you. On average, poor people spend a higher % of their income on consumables. So if you have a flat sales tax, the overall effective tax rate for the poor will be higher higher than for the rich. Basic math (sorry if thats over your head).
