They had to choose. But even then they would still miss the fun and opportunity of a bowl game. It doesn’t have to be an either or situation, it can very easily be both.

It’s entirely plausible now that a player could go his entire college career without getting to go to a bowl game while being on a top 10 team.
If Mizzou is making the playoff, we would be a program that could fall into that position.
