The reservoirs were neglected. Clearing the dead brush , creating fire lanes is indeed hard difficult work.

Instead of doing that, LA focused millions on DEI classes, consultants. None of which helped save a single house from burning.

The city, and state neglected the obvious (and well known) problems and as always, the bill came due.
