govt would become what it has become today, then we shouldn't celebrate them as visionaries of limited govt and human freedom (because they would be frauds under those circumstances).

And yes, taxation is theft. That is a good thing to remind people on the Fourth of July (a day that we celebrate the imperfect American experiment).
