Seems like agents would want some sort of standardized, impartial evaluation system shared with teams so they could get a better feel for what teams would be interested before they jump in the portal.
I imagine some of those agents would be getting around some of the "no contact" times for some players by putting out feelers for those players when talking to teams about other players that can be in the portal during those times. For instance when the portal opens for players who were playing in bowl games, but other players are in a no contact period.
