One of their big advantages was offering Texas players with an option of not having to play all their college football games in Texas (back in the SWC days) but still retaining the connection to Texas via the UT-OU rivalry as well as proximity. their recruiting will get better with the SEC move. It's not like Nebraska who cut themselves out of their traditional recruiting areas joining the B10. OU isn't going away.
