Grant Wistrom told Larry Smith Mizzou has the worst facilities he had seen.
Nubs weight room was legendary compared to most schools but Mizzou had to
recruit against that (along with their roids). Mizzou just wasn’t that nice during the 80s. One thing Babs did was to start efforts to beautify the campus. But she could care less about sports. MU really started transforming in the 90s with a pretty nice campus and sports facilities in the late 90s/00s. Just keeps getting better IMO. Obviously still a work in progress as it should always be. But MU just allowed things to stagnate in the 70s/80s (caught up with them in 80s creating a perfect storm of uncaring administration, tight boosters, and bad hires. Thank God Norm was in place to give MU something.)
