I was there 83-87. The students wanted Powers out and then we detested Woody so it was long gone by that point. I can confirm what Iam said below about the partying. A certain star running back was good friends with a kid on my dorm floor and spent a lot of time there. I'm not sure I ever saw him sober and he was a seriously frightening man. I believe he got cleaned up before he left Mizzou and made a good life for himself, just not playing football.
