I heard from a source who I trusted because of his proximity to athletics and who he knew, that AD Dave Hart wanted to hire John Cooper of Tulsa, and Babs insisted on interviewing and hiring

One of the stories he told was Uehing asked each to "draw his favorite play" Cooper rolled his eyes with WTH and Woody enthusiastically complied.

Don't know if that was the coup d' grace for Cooper but the Woody hire was a disaster as we all know
