And that was in an era where it was harder to win it all than it is now when it is set up for the top six to win it every year.
No one would have predicted in '97 they would be where they are 25'ish years later. All that happened was they jumped on the coaching carousel. A few bad hires, and BAM! It can happen to ANY team, regardless of conference. Yes, even in the SEC.
