69 years, under that very system, and I love it here. It's the greatest country in the history of the world, and the greatest form of government ever devised. We all won the lottery by being born in the United States of America.

Human beings are flawed and imperfect. Without a social contract, most people would reach the point where they wouldn't even stop at stoplights. Chaos and barbarism would be the ultimate result. I do not wish to live in a chaotic and barbaric country.
