You wrote that 'roe reserved power to the people'.
There was no such "constitutional right" to abortion until the 1973 Supreme Court conjured it up out of thin air.
That was a "right" (sic) given to those who wanted to have their unborn children killed.
That isn't emotion, it is just fact, though the facts undoubtedly can elicit emotions... as such evil should. Unfortunately, the emotions elicited by it for the radical left isn't based upon logic or reason.
Your statement here is begging the question: "the supreme court is taking a constitutionally recognized right"
It was conjured up out of thin air by the 1973 SC and has been criticized as very poorly reasoned by even liberal constitutional experts. Now, upon further review the 2022 Supreme Court appears ready to, rightly in my opinion, correct their misguided interpretation of the constitution as has happened multiple times in the past.
Your next statement is also quite twisted:
"and ceding it to the states' police power"
This is the constitutional arrangement our nation's Founding Fathers set up. If the situation had been the other way around your take would be the opposite, of course... eg. if the federal government had outlawed abortion nationwide under the rights enumerated in the 14th amendment.
