the federal government been logging everyone's phone calls for years, and reading citizen's emails and texts... and gaining access to social media records via CIA seed money to Google, Twitter, Facebook, etc?

It is absurd in the extreme, but not as absurd as this fictional "right to privacy" extending to the point to have one's unborn children brutally killed at any time for any or no reason whatsoever.
