What advantages do public schools have?

Schools are simply a reflection of their communities.
Show me a school in a high crime area stricken with poverty and I guarantee that the local school is failing. Show me a school in an affluent neighborhood with almost no crime and I guarantee that school is very successful.
It has nothing to do with the schools. It is the clientele they serve. If you take the highest-rated school in that state and the lowest and swap out the staff that high achieving school would still be successful and the struggling school would still be failing. The same if true if you chose a staff from one of your lauded private schools.
