When someone says we or our when talking about society at large, and most people on the board knows that is what they men. Can we

1. Understand they are not talking for you so you don't have to respond with, speak for yourself, why are you _____.

or

2. Should they just say society and you can assume you are apart of it or not, but understand they are not talking about individuals?
