just won't have any true Bluebloods or competitive TV revenue to keep up with the others

For the Big 12- 8 remaining schools, it at least gives them time to stop sweating as they will remain a P5 conference regardless of expansion or not.

It means that as long as the Big 12 exists, the schools in it, will be P5 status schools and the only reason the Big 12 would break up is if the remaining schools all (or most) found homes in the other 4 at some point in the future

Either way, it looks like the remaining Big 12 schools will not have to fear being a "mid-major"
