flu shots back in the 50s and 60s. Using that 1960 number and comparing it to COVID, COVID is still worse.
53.7 flu deaths per 100k would equal 176k deaths using the current US current population. That's 100k less than our current COVID death number and we've still got another couple months before we hit a full year of COVID being in the US.
