inhibits the spread, or actually aids in the spread.
here's the logical line:
- virus spreads through interactions
- eliminate interactions
- therefore eliminate virus
that sounds fine on the surface. unfortunately it contradicts hundreds of years of empirical data on how a virus behaves, spreads, and is ultimately overcome.
hundreds of years of actual science would tell you this:
- virus spreads through interactions
- interactions produce infections
- infections produce immunity
- immunity prohibits spread
- inability to spread eliminates virus
