represent me nor do they speak for me.

In every school I have taught the active union members were less than 10% of the staff. There were usually another 20-30% that were members because they could get professional insurance and protection more cheaply than on the open market.

I do not believe I have ever taught at a school where anywhere near half we union members.

The union dues not speak for teachers. It has not at any time in my career.
