I are both teachers and my family is filled with teachers as well. I do not personally know a single teacher who does not believe the students should be back in school day one.

You are hearing the teachers unions and they have not spoken for teachers in my thirty years of teaching. The teachers unions exist to carry water for the Democratic party. They do not care about educating children or about helping teachers be better professionals. As long as they can keep collecting dues and funneling them to the Democrats they have fulfilled their mission.

The funny thing if you watch carefully it is not the older teachers who are speaking out about returning. It is the young, woke ones who are demanding that we keep schools closed. Teachers under 40 have nothing to fear from this virus, that just tells you this is about politics not teacher safety as they are claiming.
