I know quite a few teachers

I know they send a pretty exhaustive list now to parents for various supplies...and many do not bring those in. Many try to find some friends for some help and go get some of their own supplies. That basically never happens in the private sector, and I am sure many take paper (and many other office supplies) from work for their own use.

School admin budgets have become so bloated or they spend money on super expensive stuff (ipads), that the money is no longer there for the little stuff we all took for granted as kids.
