a teacher and they have a $200 a year budget.

She spends a couple thousand a year out of her own small paycheck.

Every classroom has parents who do not provide supplies for their kids. The teachers are the ones who pick up the slack.

The schools do not provide the teachers with all the resources they need to meet the curriculum. The teachers pick up the slack.
