30% then by all means go to virtual learning.
A large number of students need constant intervention to progress. Sometimes that is just a tap on the shoulder and a reminder to get to work, sometimes it is answering a string of questions and with some it is just an affirmation that they are doing okay. That is almost impossible in the digital world of today.
Last school year about a third of my remedial students just disappeared over the course of the fourth quarter. Most parents are willing to make sure that their kids get on the bus every day to go to school. The number willing, or able, to stand over their kids' shoulders and make sure they are completing all their school work is much smaller.
