I am suggesting that when our country runs up debt into the tens of trillions it is ridiculous to believe that it will be paid back.

The current calculations show that 10% of the federal budget is just debt service. Not paying back the debt but simply paying interest on the debt while continuing to acquire more debt every year.

If I went to a banker with that type of balance sheet they would never give me a penny. Their conclusion would be that I never intended to repay any of my debts. And they would be justified in believing that.
