However, our reception into the SEC by the SEC has been a mixed bag. Wish I had a free drink for everytime I've heard or read we don't fit in, we don't belong, blah blah, blah. That's not to say we've also not experienced some real embracing. Both times in Atlanta, people were very kind. Fans who traveled to Mizzou in 15? from Auburn, good folk as well as many of the other schools (Vanderbilt not so much which I found weird). We embrace those who embrace us (all in the spirit of competition) and we spit on the feet of those who spit on ours. And some of that was formed with the advent of the Big 12 and it's dynamics. And some of it from that 15 year stretch of being the Big 12's Vanderbilt. I will give you some insight on our fandom. We do better in adversity and being ignored than success and being recognized. That will change as we establish a continuity of success and a change of identity. Always enjoy your take :)
