they are taking your property (fines), you freedom (jail), and maybe your life (if you resist) for doing things that cause no harm to others.

would you volunteer for all that?

And to think we now have this huge government bureaucracy that actually is what makes the rules, and they are not even directly elected.

Look at what Trump has done with executive orders....they now have the same authority of a law....you don't find that scary.
