grades.

I always interrupt and ask if we are talking about grades or learning, they are two different things.

Even administrators in the schools tend to focus on grades, because like you said that is where they get the most grief.

Give me five minutes with my gradebook and I can solve the grade issue for every single one of my students.

Learning is a much tougher topic. As a teacher I could care less about grades, if I have created a good curriculum and am teaching standards that support that curriculum then the grades will follow if the students are learning.
