Teachers strikes are immoral and I would never participate.

Lucky for me I have never been in the position where I was asked to.
The damage done to already at-risk children is unconscionable. You notice that these strikes never happen in upper-class suburban areas.
The only case where I would even consider striking would be a child safety issue. But even then there are much better options to striking.
If I am unhappy with my pay, conditions or assignments I would simply wait until April and start looking for a different job. I have worked at four different schools in my thirty years. In every case, I knew the exact salary I would be paid and had a very good idea about the working conditions.
