for it and the language used, but do you know if it was his first draft? Jefferson liked to take his time writing things and would often hear ideas before committing pen/quill to paper. John Adams liked to vigorously debate ideas over an ale. I mean, we weren't there, so even though he was clearly influential as the author, does it reflect only his thoughts, or what he knew he could get agreed to by the delegates?
