that Obama told Sr. White House counsel to lie about Benghazi. Right? We know that happened, but it was never clear that it came as a direct instruction from him. You guys would be having a fit.

In this case, you have testimony from Don McGahn that he was told to lie and he refused. It's the party affiliation that obfuscates people's opinions.
