patriotism, that I am thinking oh I love our government or ooooh I really love Republicans.

I don't know that i entirely agree with Twain there, but interesting quote nonetheless.

I'm sure you would say gov't never deserves your love and i'd probably be inclined to agree with that. I don't LOVE our government, but I think it's generally a step or two ahead of most other governments despite ranging far and wide from its original course.
