Citizenship is conferred upon you by birth. You are, as Hokie suggests, free to renounce it and move elsewhere. Perhaps Brunei would be a nice choice.

It is indoctrinated and there is a sense of collectivism. I don't have a problem with that. That strengthens us in times of trouble. If I'm in a foxhole with someone, I want loyalty, not someone who thinks that the duty is forced upon them.

As much as folks complain about this country, the beauty of it is that you're still free to be an all or none guy and advocate that taxes are theft while you take advantage of the opportunities presented.
