it actually seems odd to me that you wouldn't want to love

the country of which you are a resident and citizen. I literally have a hard time understanding why you wouldn't WANT to be proud of your country, flaws and all.

kind of like Mizzou. I'm proud of having attended Mizzou. I'm not proud of some things that have occurred on campus or some things the school has done but in general, I am proud. I wear their colors. I cheer for Mizzou. And a bully for old Mizzou! Rah Rah Rah Rah! I try to show school pride.

I also show pride in my country. I'm generally proud of the USA. I wear its colors. I sing its anthem and yeah, I pledge my allegiance and I have sworn to uphold its constitution.

but, you do you and I'm cool with that, but I don't really GET it.
