If people want to pledge allegiance to a flag (then they should go right ahead and do that). If they want to teach their children to do the same, so be it.

The problem comes with the use of govt-stolen tax funds paying for public education, public education curriculum, military demonstrations, military marketing, etc.

As another mixed issue here, patriotic people should try to be a little more open minded and little less emotional about their patriotism. It's okay to feel challenged on your convictions every now and then, and if someone doesn't share your convictions that's okay too.
