I don't have an "emotional commitment" to this interpretation...I recognize the statutes (as written and interpreted by the courts.) As I've made abundantly clear (throughout this thread) - those babies should/would fall in the same class as the baby whose parents enter the country illegally. Under current law (in accordance with the Constitution), they are citizens. It doesn't matter whether I think they s/b citizens or not (and I do think this s/b changed)...it doesn't matter what you think - to the best of my knowledge teetee, you cannot deny citizenship to someone.
The issue is HOW TO CHANGE THE CONSTITUTION - it isn't done by EO, hoss, it's done by the legislative body. Trump should push his congress for an amendment, rather than blowing smoke about an EO, a week before an election.
