An illegal is a citizen of the Country from which they originated. They are subject to that nation's rule, not US.
Look, I get that you for some unknown reason you have yet to share, want to read this a certain way. Don't get upset with me when I share the historical REALITY of the wording and intent.
Why do you feel so strongly that citizens of another country's kids who happen to be born in the US should be citizens? What is the basis of your emotional commitment to this interpretation?
