This is how people treat the Constitution. They align with an issue and start colorably reading the Constitution in favor of their issues.

The fact of the matter is that the 14th Amendment, when ratified, was not intended to grant birthright citizenship. Your interpretation of this Amendment 150 years later is irrelevant to the original intent. You can understand that, right?
